In AutoCAD 2006 & 2007, you can turn the command line on & off by using ctrl + 9.

In AutoCAD 2006 & 2007, you can turn the command line on & off by using ctrl + 9.You can also turn the command line into a floating window similar to ToolPalettes and Properties (you can auto-hide it). The Command Line window is also the only other window besides ToolPalettes that has a transparency value (unless they added some to 2007).

Quite of few of them have transparency in 2007, including the dashboard, the quick calculator, Xrefs, etc...
