Linked file in MEP

I created an Arch building model and now linked it into Systems. My question is with spaces and color fills, when I created a new color fill to define the spaces I cannot seem to select the linked arch spaces. Will I have to open the arch file directly into Systems in order to select the spaces? None of the exercises show this as a way to work with the file so I am thinking a work group method to share the central file. Is that correct?

By spaces I assume you mean Rooms? If so you need to use the Copy/Monitor tool to copy in the rooms from the arch model

Nice and Straight forward! I was using ABS term of spaces and zones, I apologize for that.
