Hey all,

Just wanted to see if anyone out there might know what I'm talking about and maybe where I can get it...

At my old company, we had a program that would list the length, radius, layer, linetype, etc. of any object you hovered your crosshairs over. It would show it briefly in a pop-up style box right next to your cursor without having to type anything, just hovering over an object would invoke this command. I'd love to have this again, but I don't remember what it's called or where it came from... Any ideas?

TIA!

Aha! Thanks! That's exactly what I was talking about :) I use the Manusoft Drop-down Menu proggy, so I should have checked there first, huh?

Thanks a bunch!

You can also use 'Bubble' for AutoCAD available free from Asuni CAD at http://www.bubblecad.com/en/bubble.htm

That's pretty cool, the fact that it's freeware is nice too :)

Thanks!

I used bubblecad a few CAD releases ago. I felt that it was slowing down my drawing session so I kicked it to the curb.

Anyone else notice this happening?

I haven't used the BubbleCAD, but the Periscope doesn't seem to affect my sessions at all.

Anyone else notice this happening?I haven't noticed any appreciable slow down of the drawing session, as unlike Periscope, you can have the info when you hover while holding the shift key.

Periscope's info box is always in the way.

Just a word of cuastion here bith of the mentioned add on packages can cause minor problems and hicups with CAD. I ran bubble cad for a while and took it off as it was making the machine run slower as well as fatal errors more regularly. They are good programs but just be careful.
