I am trying to obtain training thru my reseller but they do not have a certified person. They said they can bring in an Autodesk trainer but we must incur the cost associated with bringing them in. Are there any other options that we may have? We need to get some training relatively soon. Please let me know what others have done.

Bryan, I'm in the same boat. We had training set up through our re-seller, but the trainer left and went to a different company. They suggested Adesk, but then we would have had to pay the additional $5k for it. We decided to dive in to the tutorial for structure and attend the RB training session that we had. It worked out OK, but we are still learning (the hard way).

We use Mid-West CAD, a Kansas City based dealer. We have them coming to our office next week to do Level 1 or Basic training for 5 people starting 8/21 for 3 days. They do have certified trainers. Great organization.
Just to let you know. Their public Revit classes fill up quickly. Sometimes you can get lucky and they have a private training class going on at some firms office, and that other firm will allow others to attend their private training. www.mwcad.com (http://www.mwcad.com) or [ Moderator Action ON ] Telephone numbers removed. Can be found via given web site.[ Moderator Action OFF ] I would ask to speak with Craig Parton.

Where are you located Bryan? It's important to remember that even a 3 Day class is just touching the basics. There will still be plenty of questions that you'll likely need to either learn yourselves or find someone that will be able to answer those questions for you.

Bryan, we were in the same situation over a year ago. We opted
to go to the tutorials provided with the software. This has worked
out well for our techs. Along with the tutorials, we have started pilot (practice)
projects, attended user group meetings and, of course, searched
the augi forums for information. On the job training has gone a long way also.
We have an option to bill hours to a non-billable 'training' number (not to be abused)
if we get hung up on a problem in Revit during the job process. This has worked well.
Techs. have not blown the budget & yet have stayed quite billable.
This years AU conference in Vegas has a number of beginner, intermediate
& advanced Revit Structure courses. Check it out.
Good luck,
Later
Bryan
