I'm trying, with not much success, to import an architectural model in the IFC format from archicad into Revit Systems. I am either getting a message that says it cannot open the file at all...or it will work but with many errors and some of the arch object properties info is lost.

Are there any import settings that can be played with?
Has anyone had any success with this scenario?
And also has anyone then exported systems drawings back out in the IFC format with any success?

Best Regards,
Bren.

It's a bit of a work around, but we've actually done this. We purchased some IFC software from INOPSO to use with ABS2005. We imported the arch's IFC file into ABS verified the scale factor of 12 didn't need to apply (Archicad exports based on feet as the units if I remember correctly). We then export it to another IFC file and import it into Revit Structure. It worked out fairly well but then again I didn't need to use the model for CD work, just for collision/coordination.

I am looking for some one to do a Archicad to Revit export for some files that i have done. Nothing too complex. I want to use the Archicad library for revit 12. I need all the BIM information transformed & also a costing to have them as families but not essential. can any one point me in the right direction? It is a paying job but I don't have a huge budget. There are about 40 models of simple hot water systems.
Please email me aadbuild@gmail.com if you or if you know some one that can help. Thanks :)
