Here are the choices:

Xerox 6204
Lanier LW310
KIP

The quality seen with the Xerox is exceptional and clearly better than the other two, but software/interface-wise, prefer the Lanier. Anyone have experience with any of these machines and can comment?

Kip....We had a kip 3800 before but not any more. Took most of our valuable media room space cuz of bulk. It makes good quality prints (ours printed black/white) and can convert from tiff to pdf and so forth. The problem is it requires a heck of a lot of maintenance log than any machine I know. It's sort of like the space shuttle. It is made up of one million parts operating and if any one of those fails you'll have to cancel the mission. You'll have to be a techni to keep it in top notch shape.
Now, we are using a hp1050c plotter and connected a GRAPHTEC Scanner Type CS400-10 (great thing) to it. Practically does everything what the kip does together.
Sorry couldn't add anything on the Xerox and Lanier.

The Xerox 6204 is a Kip according to our vendor.

We have an Oce' TDS600. It runs great! We get about 6 d-size per minute. A LOT less maintence than the Xerox and HP's we had prior.
