Nope, although users having been asking for this
type of functionality for over a decade, AutoDesk
has yet to provide it.

Good idea. I would suggest adding it to the wishlist forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=57)

Since toolbar locations are stored in profiles, why not make a backup profile to restore your preferred toolbar settings?

Now its realized in AutoCAD 2007, but i still prefer AutoCAD 2005 due to some reasons. And still I want to lock those toolbars in 2005. I suspect its possible in VBA programming via windows API call. I'm gonna try posting in VBA forums. I'll hit you guys back when I found one.

can you not just right click on the toolbar and lock it that way, as in the attachment? (im using adt 2006 - if that effects things) i always leave mine locked because i tend to click as i drag my mouse, and end up with toolbars shifting in ways i dont like.

Locking was added in the 2006 version. As the OP wants this in 2005, he would need to use a third party program to accomplish this.
