Add Watermarks too drawings

We are using AutoCAD 2005, and would like to add watermarks to certain drawings. Is there a way to do this native to AutoCAD, or do I have to go to 3rd party software and include it in a DWF file?

You could set up a couple of pens in your pen settings by lowering the screening level. Then anything the uses those pens will plot very light.

Along the line of Glen's suggestion, I have a block that I insert on a special layer with a gray color. I have a series of vba macros that manipulate the block for various "stamps" and purging the block if it is deleted. This way the user just chooses menu commands to work with the watermark.
