xclip frames plotting

I have tried to turn off my xclip frame in AutoCAD 2000 with xclip frame but it is still plotting. Anything I do to make the frame go away also takes the clipped object out of the plot. I have tried xclipframe, tframes, and setting the layer of the frame to 0 screen or frozen off. the frames always appears in the plot and with the last two the clipped object dissappears.
Can some one make a recommendation?

Does this occur on all drawings that use XClip?

Have you applied the "Plotting Update Patch" and "Service Packs" for AutoCAD 2000 -

Can you post an offending drawing file (with associated Xref(s)) here so we can take a look.

I loaded the two Service Packs for AutoCAD and now the file is behaving itself.
