I'm new here and am getting ABS 2007 (will be 2007.1 tomorrow) up and running for my firm. I noticed that there is alot of content in the valve area of MVParts, and there is alot missing. Before I start building butterfly valves all the way up to 24" has anyone done this and would you be willing to trade?
I saw a exchange database mentioned in another post here but havent made my way over there yet.

I too am building custom valves and I'm having a problem with them not cutting into the pipe. Have you successfully built valves that cut into your pipe? If so what setting, parameter, etc did you asign to allow that?

Wow way to dig up an old post!
I'd have to go back and look at the parts that I created for ABS/AMEP. I'm in Revit MEP mode now for our firm.....

Large diameter valves (including butterfly valves up to 48") were included in the content drops to Subscription customers for AutoCAD MEP 2008 and AutoCAD MEP 2009.
If you're creating your own, you'll need to use Content Builder to select the option to allow the part to break into a run. For block-based parts, a checkbox is available on the first "Behavior" tab. If the part is parametric, you'll need to click the Options button then select the checkbox for "Break into Part" (see attached picture).
Hope that helps,
