Sorting sheets?

How does the sheet set manager sort the sheets that are added as resource sheets? Is there a max number that will be in whatever the order is? (maybe like layer max sort variable)

A large number of sheets were added, but they don't seem to list by any rhyme or reason.

that's a major pet peeve of mine, if anyone figures out how to easily sort these, I'd like to know.

We are looking at creating directories for different types of resources. This creates groups much like the view grouping. I hope this helps.
