If I double click a TIF file, Microsoft Office Document Imaging will load along with the TIF file. From there, I can print to the printer. I should be able to do this from AutoCAD. I am running AutoCAD 2005 and utilizing Raster Design 2005. However, when I plot directly from AutoCAD, I am getting plot files in excess of 120 MB that takes 20 minutes to plot. Microsoft Office Document Imaging with plot the exact file on the exact same printer in 20 seconds. What is going on? Thank you, Ray Martin BP Amoco

Please note I have moved this from the New Users Forum to the Raster design forum.

Bit of an old chestnut (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=15115&highlight=printing+images+autocad+2005) this problem; you should first do a forum search,
it’d be sure to turn up some answers.
For example this post makes an important point, about multiple image (even a tiny logo in your title-sheet) can create untold woes. (This particular problem had me beat this time last year, until we started using PNG format for our logo, worth bearing in mind. imho) Another thread suggests using EPS format (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=12029) first, then converting to Tiff.Do post back to let us know how you get on, we can always widen the search for you outside the forums.
