View Full Version : Overhead Door Not Drawn Realistically

AUGI's:

When I draw an AEC Overhead door, it draws it centered along the width of the wall, unless I show a frame with a negative width. I want it to look realistic, i.e. behind the inside line of wall and overlapping the wall and frame. I don't want to show the frame. I won't even worry about the stop that won't show even though I have it turned on in the display props.

Any ideas? Thanks,

This suggest you will need to redefine the door style.

Michael:

Thanks, but I already saw that one and it's of no use. It does not provide an overlap and I don't know how to modify an existing door style so that it will cut the wall a certain width but show the door wider than the opening on the inside of the wall. The key issue is "wider than the opening".
