Link 2 cells in different Tables

I need to link 2 cels in different tables. I follow the procedure and
I get the dreaded "####"

I pick the cel, right click, select Insert Formula, cell, pick the
source, and... ####

AND it doesn't automatically update, either...

Is there something I'm missing? Oh, and the format for the cells are
'TEXT'. Expanding the cell doesn't fix it, either.

Could it be that the source cell is generated by an extracted attribute? The only one that WILL show correctly are entries in the "Quantity" column that is autogenerated by Acad.

you can see the example blocks to the upper left, created table using extraction to the right, and the table created below to use SOME of the information at the bottom.
