My entire office uses standard Autocad 2005, but do to some of the design work, and rendering that I do, I use ADT. A problem arises when I try to use the ADT callouts for a document that the rest of the office is going to use. Is there a way to load the standard Autocad Tool palettes so I can use the non-AEC-callouts. Or am I just crazy, and there is no difference.

For example if I want to insert a section call out into a 2D drawing, I don't want to actually cut a 3D section, but I would like to use the full functionality of the fields that would reference the drawing in which the section is drawn. Please help. Thanks

I would suggest that you investigate Enable Proxy graphics
on save as so those regular CAD users will see the ARX objects you
creat through ADT.

Also investigate this it allow one to launch pure ACAD not ADT.

I quoted the above link because it pointed to 2000i products...the Correct link is shown below - RLB

Use this link for ADT 2005:

If your office has standardized on AutoCAD 2005, then you should convince them to install the object enabler on all their PCs. Turn off the proxies, they just bloat your drawings more than necessary.

The standard install of ADT 2005 has a "vanilla" profile and desktop shortcut built in if it was toggled on in the install. If not, then do a repair on your install.

No matter what you do...certain commands will launch the ADT framework, so having your collaborators running the object enablers is really the best way to handle things.

Is there an Architectural Object Enabler for AutoCAD 2005? I checked Autodesks website and found the following, but not Architectural Desktop Object Enabler...

Autodesk Raster Design 2005 Object Enabler
Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2005 Object Enabler
Autodesk Civil 3D 2005 Object Enabler
Autodesk Land Desktop 2005 Object Enabler
Autodesk Building Systems 2005 Object Enabler

Here is the Link (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334440&linkID=2475161) I got this from.

You don't need one. ADT and AutoCAD 2005 share common ground and the Object Enabler is integrated. I believe the other products underwent a file format change after the release of AutoCAD 2005 so they had to release object enablers. Check with the product page at autodesk.com for more info.

I must apologize as this question is unrelated to yours. I am in the process of upgrading to ADT '05. And will begin to offer renderings in addition to drafting, any suggestions?
