Hi,

I have been exploring tutorials on different renderer's. I found a tutorial at http://www.aversis.be/extra_tutorials/vray_basic_render_settings.htm. I only problem is that i do not have a Vray production renderer to choose from only VUE File Renderer and mental ray Renderer. Did i not enable something when installing or do you have to download/buy?

Or would i best best to stick with the one i have. The scene i will be producing is bridge fly though and still renders.

Cheers

Ken

Vray is a stand alone render engine. It's rather complete too. It includes it's own materials, lighting and render engine. You would need to purchase it from the producers of it which are not affiliated with Autodesk. In my opinion, if this is your first project, stick with the ootb stuff. Using GI you can get rather realistic results.
