This is my most complicated block, it took 2 months to create back when I was learning DB's in the 2006 beta. I had to make a pdf explaining how to use these for my coworkers. (Hint - the main stretch grip is on the right side top, just behind the right edge.)
BTW, when 2008 comes out you will be able identify the grips by their tooltip

WWWOOOOOWWWW. That is amazing! I'd been hoping someone would do something like this so I wouldn't have to. But seeing it in action is even better and I can assure you NOTHING I would do could compare to that. Awesome!

This is the pdf that explains the block. Rotating the seats works really well if you use Polar. One day I'll combine these into one block but I was waiting on Autodesk to allow copying parameters so it wouldn't be such a tedious task.

Wow. You even took the time to make a PDF for your DB !?!??

Haha. You must either really like Dynamic Blocks, or you must really like steel joists! :)

Kidding. Actually, that document is really useful and would provide a great tutorial on using your DB.

A+! ;)

Great job. I started to create something similar but got sidetracked with other work. I probably spent 12 hours and was nowhere near complete. Thank you so much.

My hats off to you...I was going to work on creating a routine to draw joist but this will allow me to postpone that since I don't have a clue :) Thanks for sharing

Thanks Rick for a great DB and instructions to go along with it. I've been looking for one like this for a while and just couldn't get the time to do anything as good as yours.
