I am currently running AutoCAD Electrical 2006 on XP, but I have also installed Vista as a dual boot option and was unable to install Electrical. Are there any plans for a patch for AutoCAD Electrical 2006 to be able to install using Microsoft Windows Vista. I did specifically install Vista as a dual boot system since I knew certain programs did run in Vista.

I have no need currently to upgrade to AutoCAD Electrical 2008 which I have read that it will support Vista.

Thank you in advance for any information that you may have on this subject.

Hi Paul

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the Windows Vista (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=752) forum to this one, as I believe it will be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

Hi

As far as I am aware all Autodesk 2008 products will be supported on Vista... plus Autodesk has stated that a special Vista update for Autodesk 2007 products will be released in the not too distance future.

I have not heard anything regarding Vista updates for Autodesk 2006 products, but that is not say such updates will not appear.

I have heard a few people state they are able to run older Autodesk products on Vista without any issues / problems when they run them as Administrator.

Have a good one, Mike
