Double-click properties not working?

When I double-click on text or other entities Autocad just repeats the last command. Any suggestions before I reinstall Autocad?
Also both my delete keys on my keyboard are not erasing objects I select. I took num lock off.

For the double click edit, check that dblclkedit is turned on.

For the delete keys, go to the options dialog and go to the Selection tab. Check to see in the Selection Modes settings that Noun/verb selection is checked.

For this to work I have found that noun/verb selection on the selection tab of options does need to be selected too.
