filled region properties

I've created a filled region and applied a crosshatch pattern to the region. I changed the color of the region pattern to grey, so that when I print, the crosshatch doesn't show too dark (ie. black)...

the region pattern shows on screen as grey, but when i print, or on a print preview, the pattern still comes out as black, is there something that i might be missing?

Have you looked in the print settings box to make sure it does not say black lines?

that was it, i had changed the print setting, only i didn't realize that i had only changed it in, 'in-session', but that i hadn't changed the setting in any of my saved printer settings, which i was selecting each time before i would print.

I knew it was something simple enough, Thanks!!
