Summary: Have the ability drag a constrained part similiar to the 2d feature dragging
Description: It is tedious to determine the constraints in an assembly which are restraining part. In designing, the constraint for a part could have been set long ago and forgotten, set by someone else who thinks differently about constrains or was forgotten all together and will cause problems if not discovered.
I would like a mode which allows the user to pick the part of interest and "Tug" it in the direction of the desired assembly relationship change (by vector selection? possibly a 3 axis direction icon with pitch, roll and yaw axes ). The associated constraint ( or lack of message) would pop up for editing and present the standard window for changing the offset.
How Used: I believe this would be a real productivity enhancer. It would help the designer to be in better control of the assembly and encourage verification. It would also encourage making “that little change” which makes a better product, but is a hassle to do so “just let it go, I don’t want to dig around for it”. Very good sales tool addion to the produt "Rubber band constraints"
