Description:
Since Raster Design now supports so few tif formats, it would be helpful if you provided a batch file converter (or at least a command that we could batch) so that we could convert our legacy tif files to CCITT Group 4. The majority of our raster files are bitonal tif, which work best for cad. However, most other converters available do not support the tif subtypes, Stripped and Tiled, which are recommended by Raster Design and we always get an additional prompt when saving or error notices that the file format is unsupported. Also, our scanner does not support these subtypes either. So conversion is always necessary. We did not have this problem before last year when more raster formats were supported. A file converter would ease this transition.

Usage:
Used independently of AutoCAD to batch convert legacy or recieved raster files to the formats supported by Raster Design.

Not sure how I missed this thread.

I agree a batch converter would be great.

Ed, I know very little about RasterDesign but need to know if a CCITT G4 TIFF file inserted either as an External Reference in the DWG (the old image command) or inserted so that the TIFF becomes part of the DWG produces the same DWG as if I had inserted the TIFF as an External Reference in the DWG (the old image command) or inserted so that the TIFF becomes part of the DWG in autoCAD 2008 itself? Can you help?? Thanks..
