Leaders

I don't know if this already exists in AutoCAD. The idea I have is to convert non-associative leaders in drawings to associative leaders.

Check out the Express Tools command ._QLAttach

PullDownMenu: Express -> Dimension -> Leader Tools -> Attach Leader to Annotation

Are you trying to convert the polyline into a leader?

Yes! Who ever set up CAD this used a polyline leader.

They probably used a Qleader and not a REAL leader
thus making it appear that it is made from polyline segments
with a seperate arrowhead block as well.
I pretty much undefine the Qleader command in my world to
discourage it's use entirely.

No. Qleaders show up as leaders, not polylines.
