Get banding labels to show up on sections

Does anyone know how to get banding labels to show up on sections (offsets and elevations on x and y axis)? Every time I change my banding style it reverts back to "No Bands". I've even tried editing the "No Bands" style, but that hasn't worked either. Thanks for any input.
