We are showing the existing ductwork in a building to give the contractor an idea of what needs to be removed. All of the ductwork and fittings are being demolished.
I have set the Phase Created parameter to Existing for the ductwork. When I tap into another duct, the TakeOff is fine, but when I change the Phase Demolished parameter to New Construction for the TakeOff, the TakeOff disappears and the connectivity of the ducts is lost.
If I set the Phase Demolished parameter of the ducts to New Construction and then try to make a connection (tap) the ducts do not connect.
In summary, Demolishing the ductwork breaks the connectivity.
