I have created a description key file and added my own descriptions. I am not using $ commands. When I bring in the points, the node goes to the correct layer and the symbol comes in on the right layer, but the description format does not. I have checked the settings in the "point settings" and "edit label styles - points" tabs and can not figure out why they are not displaying. It worked great in 2005 LDT. I am using the LDT companion to Civil 3D 2007. Any ideas?
