Well, I've finally done it. After years of using AutoCAD to clean up drawings, then bringing them into Max to do the finishing work, I've finally completed a (paid) project using nothing but 3DS. No Autocad whatsoever. As they say, once you go Max, you never go back. ;)

The file can be found here (http://augi.luciddesignstudio.net/Load.mov).

Careful though -- although I uploaded the smallest segment, it's still around 32 Mb.

This is part of a 30-minute training video on nuclear power and the on-site handling of the subsequent waste. This segment shows them loading the cask of nuclear waste onto a truck.

Enjoy!

I liked it! What did you use for the lighting?

I used one direct light, one area light, and three or four free spots. I tried using the sun lights, but couldn't get it the way I wanted it, so I stuck with the tried-and-true.

I'm in the same mode. Drawing in AutoCAD and converting over to 3DS. I'm working on a fully 3DS Max drawing.

Thanks you guys! I've got another project in the pipeline that mr. dellis is helping me out with. I'm not using any AutoCAD with that either.
