edit tin-commands shut down

when you select a tin line that cannot be swapped or try to add a line where one cannot, the edit command SHUTS DOWN.

is there any way to make it just tell me I cannot do what I want to do and continue on?

What version are you using?

In 2007, if I try to swap edges that can't be swapped the attached message appears. When I pick OK it stops the command as you describe.

In 2008, I get the same message but I can continue picking edges.

So it looks like something they found and fixed.

thanks...we just loaded '08 and am looking forward to escaping the prospector for edits....every time that bloody box opens it shuts me down for half a minute.....waiting for the spreadsheet to update (a non-user must have written that chunk of code).
