View Full Version : Heating and Cooling loads, Nonfunction and clarification IES

Part 1), non functioning
new clean install revit MEP (no other installs have ever been done on this system)
vista (ick) business edition, all current updates
dual core pentium
click the Heating and Cooling loads,

I get the message, "Unable to launch heating and cooling loads dialog, please contact your support provider (well that's me) for additional assistance.


Part 2 clarification
I have read in an earlier white paper that this is available if IES is installed (implying separate install

the Help file seems to indicate a trimed down version is installed with Revit MEP..which is it?

1) What build did you install?

2) The IES <Virtual Environment> components necessary to carry out the Heating & Cooling Loads calcs are installed with Revit MEP, but not all components to run the full <Virtual Environment> by itself. If you could actually load the Heating & Cooling loads, and were to press the <Virtual Environment> button, you'd get a prompt to download the remaining components.

more info, also on this machine...Microsoft Office 07 ultimate, ACAD_MEP, , RevitArch, RevitStructure installed pretty much in that order, all before install of Revit MEP, then adobe creative suite C3 (I dont know if this install of dreamweaver has some kind of apache associated with it or not)

More info:

this same setup.exe (build noted above)
works fine on new laptop with install of almost all the same mentioned software, but the following differences...the laptop is XP and does not have ACAD MEP installed

Also, I have full admin rights to both computers (well as much admin rights as I can squeeze out of vista on this machine anyway)

Sounds like you're running into some issues getting the <VE> components registered. Definitely log this issue with our Subscription Support Team. They should be able to help troubleshoot this issue for you.
