I have been tasked with trying to find a free cad viewer that supports 2004. Does anyone know of a good user friendly viewer? Thanks!

Please see this thread on a viewer for 2005 (they are the same file format).

Thanks.

Hi

Here's another one I've just recently stumbled across -

Free DWG Viewer from Brava (http://www.bravaviewer.com/default.htm)

Have a good one, Mike

You can use DWF viewer from Autodesk. There is a great advantage in DWF format: you dont share your *.dwg...

I seem to be in the same situation as many others reading this. Though our company has a dedicated CAD department (currently using AutoCAD Map 2004) there are many other managers and researchers and clients who continuously need access to CAD to view our work. The nature of our work has us constantly creating and attaching object data with the drawing, and it's mainly for this reason that I'm having trouble.

I have been trying to find an affordable (read "free") CAD viewer that, as well as handling 2004 and 2005, can display all the object data within a drawing. Among others that don't even merit inclusion into this list, I've so far played with

IntelliCAD
DWGSee
Bentley View
AutoCAD Express (the DWF viewer)
Volo View

Unfortunately I have not yet come across anything that suits.

If anyone can suggest any other software packages that may be worth pursuing I would be eternally grateful.
