I am unable to modify the tool palettes in 2007 Architecutal Desktop. I am trying to edit blocks I have in the palette but I am not allowed to view any of the delete or copy commands. There is a small lock in the locked position in the lower right of my palette that I cannot cause to unlock. My LOCKUI is set to 0. How do I unlock the palette and prevent it from being locked again?

can you right click on that little lock? That will allow you to lock and unlock all docked or floating toolbars.
Another issue might be that the blocks on the toolpalette are on a network drive that you don't have write access to, but I'm not sure if that plays into it or not.

if the lock is in the bottom right of the tool palette, it is because the tool palette is read-only, you will need to change the status of the folder containing this tool palette before you can modify it.

I have the same issue, but the atc file is not set to read only. It is in a network location, but other palettes in the same directiory do not show as read only. Is there any other place this setting can be changed?

Has anybody figured this out? I have the same issue. I've changed the properties for the entire folder, all the files and all the sub-folders and files to remove the read-only setting and it still won't unlock. I didn't lock these in the first place. I created the palettes, put all the tools on there and somehow or other recently it got locked and now won't unlock.

Sorry, I have had the same issue, you can change the folder 100 times, and it will always come up as read only. The only work around I found for this is to create a new palette, set it the way you want it, then go in as the network administrator and delete the old ones and replace them with the new ones.
I understand making it so users can't change stuff, but come on!

This is a stretch...........
I remember seeing a check box during installation
that asks if a user is allowed certain permissions.

I have sometimes wondered if it's because that tool palette is being used. At times I've stayed late and was able to work on them just fine. During the day, it's rather iffy.
Also, if you have multiple tool palette paths in your options > Files tab > Tool Palettes, then you can only edit the tool palettes in the folder on the top of the list, usually the local drive.
