In Mechanical Desktop 2004DX, whenever I do an "Edit View" in a layout, I don't get the Dialog Box, I get the command line edit. What do I need to do to turn the dialog box back on. Thanks.

Hey, I just had the exact same problem with dialog boxes disappearing. Thanks for the fix. Anyone know why?

Why?

The age old question, it could be that you are running some LISP or
other application that resets various system and command variables
and that when you error out of or otherwise cancel the command
it leaves your system in a state of disarray.

hey guys how's it going?
i would agree with micheal.
it has something to do with running lisp programs, weather there your own or the ones provided with mechanical. when the system craps out midway through a command sequence and boots you out sometimes the "CMDDIA" setting gets switched to command line setting. you may also find that your diaolog box for opening and saving turns on and off sometimes too!!! that setting can be switched on and off too. it is done with the "FILEDIA" setting. just change it to "1" or "0" depending on what you want.
