LAYERS IN STATUS BAR

hai,
does any one have any routine to place layers in STATUS BAR ??
i think in intellicad there is option to place layers & colors in status bar is it possible in autocad also.
(i prefer working in full screen mode i.e. clear screen on & command line hide
the toolbars which i need to access is layers & colors other than that for all other commands i use command bar.
every time if i need to change any layer or color i had to change clear screen mode ctrl+0 )

If you're trying to conserve screenspace start by unchecking the status bar. Then add a workspace with only the layer and workspace toolbars turned on and place them wherever you like. To simply see the current layer and color look up "modemacro" in help.
