View Full Version : Annotative Scale stuck
I want my block to be set at the 1/8" scale.
First I go into the properties and click on annotative scale.
then i select 1'-0"=1'-0" and delete it from the list.
then i hit ok
if i run through those steps again, its still there.
i still have 1/8" and 1-1
I've tried to do this like 20 times.
I've downloaded service pack #1 for autocad 2008
whats going on?

I'm getting something along the same line. Open drawing, work on it for a bit, then try and change anno text, mleader (height, style, etc) and all I get "Error - Object was open for read"
Starting to tick me off since I can't find anything about it. I just set all my templates to use annotation scaling and I'm guessing I just wasted my time. Been at this for two days trying to figure it out.
I've sent in a support request and they seem to have overlooked something in sp1. the note i got from the tech said he will let the development team know about the problem. I have yet to hear of a fix.
As long as i dont change annotative scales after inserting blocks I have no problem.

After doing a bit more research...found this temp solution:
Uncheck the "Maintain Visual Fidelity for Annotative Objects" in Options/Open and Save tab. It seems to work for now but Autodesk still needs to fix this.
