Diffuser dilema

I am attempting to create a 2D diffuser to place into an RCP (we dont want to actually model it-long story) & I create New>Family>Mechanical Equipment & do my thing, but when I load it into our project it does not show up- Ive checked the view range, VG, & still cant see this thing. Ive gone back into the family & tried setting it back to specialty equip & other things but no dice. It shows up in the list of loaded families, but I can't get it to actually appear in any view- help!!

Check your Detail Level Setting: course, medium, fine.

You may have to edit the family visibility setting.

Open the family, click on the lines and on the options bar click on Visibilty. Select the detail Level you want your lines to be visible in youR project.

try stretching your crop region. It could be floating out there somewhere. Or OFF it and zoom all to fit.

I had already checked that-

I just did something that seems to have worked though I do not have any clue why-any ideas?

My diffuser lines are drawn in plan. I drew a single invisible line on the left elevation & reloaded into the project & the diffuser showed up perfectly.

what is going on here?!?!

Is it showing perfectly in floor pan, or ceiling plan?
You have to insert it onto your ceiling plan and control its height offset in the properties.

Try removing it from the floor plan and insert it to your RCP view. See what happens.
