I am using LDD 2007. whenever I try to use one of the labeling features, it causes the program to crash. for example, as soon as I select labels, edit label styles, it crashes. If I select a line and right click and chose "add static label", it crashes. I un-installed and used the instructions from Autodesk as to how to completely uninstal and then reinstalled and I still have the same problem.
any help would be appreciated.
thanks.

I have not seen this behavior in our office.
Maybe you have a corrupt label style. Try changing the label style path in the user preferences to a different folder.

Is this happening in a DWG created by another AutoCAD format? As in a DWG created by 2005 and opened in 2007? You may have to delete the drawing's DFM and CGX files to force it to reload the prototype. Just a though.

it is happening in DWG files. It is happening even when I create a new project. It even happens when I just create a new drawing. If I take a drawing from work where it works fine and bring it to this computer, it still happens.
thanks for the suggestion.

I know you said you uninstalled everything and reinstalled but, did you do it according to TS45252? You can find it HERE (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240617)

When I first installed LD 2004, I had the prefered hardware for the software, but could never insert points by window. (This happened on multiple machines.) The software would crash back to the windows desktop every time. I ended up upgrading my hardware and the problem went away.
Have you tried this on machines with different RAM, different processors, from hard drive vs. network to see if you get the same results?
ADesk doesn't always get their system requirements right.

that I have not tried. I will have to try it. Need to try to find another computer to install it temporarily.
