I've used AutoCAD (ADT3.3) since 2001, but I'm new to 2008 Architecture (& AUGI). In the past I've used (as part of an AutoCAD Details upload) a dropdown menu item that provided the complete library of AWS welding symbols. I have yet to find anything as complete in 2008. The Tools Catalogs only seem to provide a "blank slate" to create the specific symbols. Am i missing something? I would appreciate whatever direction can be provided.

Thank you

Hi minerdetails, (Sorry I don't know your name)

First, Welcome to AUGI and congrats on your first post. :)

Take a look at THIS (http://www.forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=25401&highlight=welding) post and see if it helps. Post back if the link doesn't help you achieve your desired results.

There's a dynamic block available here (http://www.forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=61078&highlight=weld+symbol).

I'm guessing you are looking for the weld symbol routine (which is refered to in stelthorst's link) You can find a tool for it on the basic detail pallette. This little dialog box can get you just about any weld you are going to need!

Please pardon my double posting, but I think this thread may be able to answer my question better.

the aecdetailswelding command works for me and it gives me the weld symbol I am after. The question I have is where can I manipulate the style for these symbols? The symbol comes in way too big. Is there a way to get it to adjust to the annotation scale of the drawing, or do I just need to scale it?

Thank you for the help.
