When printing a drawing to the HP DesignJet the dimension text does not print correctly, and the drawing text is just a line of jumbled characters. I went to the inventor site and hp site on the web, but without success. If you have any ideas or where I can go for support, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

I use a design jet also.

We have a Designjet 750e Plus.
I had a similar problem and what fixed it was the print driver.
I was using the plain Designjet 750 driver that windows set up automatically.
Then i changed it to the 750 Plus driver from HP and the problems went away.

I don't know if it's same trouble. But what mine was doin was some big text like title block ws really rough and some other stuff just did not look right.

Anyhow, You may also want to check line wieghts for the text style your using. A coworker had the text style weight way too high and it did not turn out right,, (Left ink spots & runs all over the plotter & rollers)

Hope this helps any.

Thanks for the reply. I am posting this for a friend, so I will pass that along and see how it goes.
Thanks again!

I had this problem too, on a new Aficio 1055 printer. My fix was to go into the print setup for that machine and on the Print Quality Tab, in theTrue Type section, uncheck the 'use printer fonts' box.
