when I use mleader, I'm asked if I want to overwrite the default text or not. I don't have default text set, and I don't want to use default text...ever. Now I have to click Yes, write my text and then click ok to close the editor. two more clicks than before on a very repetitive task.
Is there any way around these problems (features).
Thanks
Jason
Check your settings in Multi Leader Styles (under format menu) - Modify current style - Content tab, you can set default text and text options.
Also, take a look at other features in style, the may help...ie default landing length.

I've been through those settings, but I don't want to use default text.
There's no option for 'none' that I see. If I leave the box blank, I'm still prompted if I want to overwrite the default text. Setting the editor to 'oldeditor' doesn't work either.

Are you sure the default field is blank...click the "..." and make sure no SPACES or CHARACTERS are there (hit delete & backspace a couple of times, a light grey box should tightly surrounding the blinking cursor). I ran a test and if a space is left in field then it will continue to prompt to replace default, but once I removed the space it no longer prompts and allows me to go directly to typing my text. Post drawing or wblock a multileader and post.

You're right. the mleader styles were fine in my templates, but dragging them from the toolpalette had the prompt. I fixed them on the palette.
Thanks,
Jason
