Were you aware that the benchmarking utility, AUGI Gauge, has been updated to work with AutoCAD 2005? Of course, you can still use the benchmark on older versions of AutoCAD also.
You can download AUGI Gauge here (http://www.augi.com/publications/default.asp?page=0456).
There is also more information in the Jul/Aug 2003 issue of AUGIWorld which can be downloaded here (http://www.augi.com/publications/augiworld/JulAug2003.lowres.pdf).
Please give us your feedback on how useful you found AUGI Gauge to be.

Is it possible for the Gauge and its files to reside on a CD, instead of taking up space on my hard drive?

Good question. Since the app writes to ini files I'm not sure it will. And if the benchmark has to load drawings off a CD it would skew the results.

CD drives are a lot slower then your hard drive, and I mean a lot slower.

What I would really like to see is a benchmark for ADT and Inventor!
While ADT is an AutoCAD based product, when it comes time to purchase a new machine, I need to know how well it performs doing ADT tasks.
Inventor, as far as I know, there is nothing out there. If anyone knows of a benchmark, I would appreciate getting some info on that.
Thanks.
