Can anyone explain why joists on a structural beam system do not extend to the extents of the system. I have created a system above a floor and the joists stop at the edge of the wall below instead of extending to the edge of the border I created. I would appreciate any suggestions concerning this. Thanks.

ALSO, Can you add rims to the system?

I would love to answer the question but i only have Revit MEP and that means i would have to purchase another package to figure that out......not going to happen.

The reason your probably not getting an answer because only Revit Structure has beam systems. You would be better asking the question in the Revit Structure thread.

However, with the limited info you supplied I can only guess that the beams are trimming to a perpendicular beam? What are the end conditions of the beam system?

How about the fact that the beams never seem to be in the right place as well, like the first and last beams in the beam system..... Why aren't they centered on the beam system boundry lines? It's a cool tool because you can set the working plane to the bottom of a roof or floor and it will update if the slope ever changes. The other way is to use individual beams and then set thier beginning and end level offsets..what a pain that is...
