Layout templates

I'm trying to create a new layout template by modifying an existing template and cannot seem to bring it up when creating a new project. It appears that it is saving as a dwg file instead of dwt. The changes will not save as a template but only as drawing.

Try one of two things
put the "FILE.NAM" in quotes to
force that name.
Or simply save it as a DWG use explorer and
Rename it to DWT. I would make sure your
Explorer is NOT set to hide extnsions of know file types
or you will wind up with FILE.dwg.dwt and that wont be
any better for you.

Are you specifying the "Files of type" as Template in the SaveAs dialog?
