Description: Projects with multiple buildings

How Used: We produce large projects which have usually about 10 buildings on them – the navigator does not easily cater for this.

The project navigator will cater for this if you type the levels in like this

Building 01 – Ground Floor +0000
Building 01 – First Floor +3000
Building 02 – Ground Floor +0000
Building 03 – Ground Floor +0000
Building 03 – First Floor +2700

But it keeps an error “The value entered is invalid” when you type a level which matches the level of another building. The work around is to keep typing the level and about the third time, for some unknown reason, it accepts the value.

We have successfully produced a project with multiple buildings in one project - but the errors from PN and the lack of clarity which many levels are display make the project difficult to work with.

Feature Affinity: Project Navigator

Have you looked at using divisions for each building. ie each building is it's own division?
Just a thought.

I tried this - the problem is that you cannot set a level for each division.

So divisions would work OK if all buildings has the same set of levels.

Really I think this could be an easy win for AutoDesk - it seems to almost do what's required - all they need to do is turn off the annoying error message and provide some means of grouping the levels into buildings instead of a large unmanageable list.
