Summary: I want a way to export a simplified model with all the interior surfaces that can be used in other analysis programs such as Radiance.
Description: I want a way to export a simplified model with all the interior surfaces that can be used in other analysis programs such as Radiance. I believe that this can be accomplished by creating volumes that shrinkwrap around room surfaces. Then we must be able to export these. It would be even nicer to have the ability to control the shrinkwrap to ignore certain objects and surfaces that are smaller a certain size.
How Used: Exporting a Revit model creates too many surfaces for some analysis programs to handle. To be able to export useful models we need a way to simplify those models. Being able to export individual room volumes as a set of surfaces that we can adjust characteristics of each surface for lighting, sound and thermal qualities will be most effective.
