I have just started a new job fresh out of CAD school, and the intellipan/intellizoom feature is not working, or not turned on, or not in existence on my new work computer. I have been using these features since day one on CAD, and now that I don't have them I am going bonkers. I have listed the same question on autodesk's site but the 2 responses I got (both telling me to set mbuttonpan to 1) didn't do anything. I also tried: uninstalling & reinstalling the mouse driver, updating the mouse driver, using different mice, importing a profile from a dwg. that has intellipan/zoom working, talking to a number of resellers. Again, nothing changes the mouse wheel from scrolling the picture on my screen in ACAD. BONKERS I TELL YA!!

So, if anyone knows how to fix my problem,It would be greatly appreciated

Thanks, Mike M.

What happens when you click the middle button? Have you checked the settings for the mouse to make sure that the button is set to middle button?

Go to OPTIONS >>Display tab> and turn off the scroll bars in the drawing window.

Clicking the middle button (wheel really) scrolls the screen up and down, rolling the wheel scrolls the screen left and right. The mouse is set to recognize the wheel, which is set to "universal scroll" in mouse properties. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly, and I would rather cry in a Porsche any day of the week.

I've had that happen to me too. The middle button is set to a setting in the mouse properties in the Control Panel. By selecting the middle button and setting to some other setting can fix that. My for example, is set to context menu/alternate select.

Hi Mike

Please note I've *moved* this Thread from the AutoCAD Customization Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118) to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

Thanks, Mike

I want to thank everyone who posted a possible solution to my problem so quickly. My problem has been solved. I spoke with someone who works at a local reseller, who sat on the phone w/ me for a good 1/2 hour while we tried to work it out. Apparently, I had to assign my middle button to (believe it or not) "middle button," and check the "Use MS office compatible scroll only" box. My cad speed is cranked back up to 10. Life is good. Thank you. I'm sure you will hear from me in the near future.
Peace in the Middle East.
