Hi, I've been trying to find the best way to set various elevations of walls in a single project, for example, a large house that has sunken rooms or a garage. I've set up various levels in the Project Navigator to deal with this, but I notice that all levels have to read on a positive height. In other words, a garage that is two feet below the rest of the house cannot be put on a new level with a -2 feet height, rather it has to be built on a zero height. It can get a bit confusing keeping track of the math on which level is really on the zero and which needs to be adjusted to the rest. A garage built at two feet down still has wall elevations that start on zero. I have tried just setting the walls down, for example in a garage with a -minus 2 feet, but this can make problems with the display of doors and windows. The walls can be renamed and the cut lines set, but I'm wondering if there is a better way.
A recent project that I did was to construct a large garage/sports complex that had many additions over the years, and several various floor heights. I ended up creating 4 different floor levels for each section of the building and x-reffing them together in the views as needed.
