Repeating details all over these drawings, mostly for "extra" stuff that just makes it a nicer drawing, but well worth the very little effort it takes.
The timber cladding in plan on the external wall, the timber studs in the partitions (plans), the tiles and battens on sections and the blockwork joints in sections. all repeating details :) I like them so much! if only I had them when I had used Autocad my drawings would have been so much easier!! - coming soon to autocad I would bet ;)
Looks good Martin, Is the wall pattern that looks like the insulation a fill pattern or the insulation in Revit? If it is a fill pattern could you post the pattern. I would love to use it.
Thanks,
Y
Could you also post that window family of yours also?
Thanks again,
Y

You're quite right, Martin. That tool takes drawings from raw sections to construction docs in short order.
And I have to say... you must have the cutest kid on the planet. It's a great avatar!

Thank you guys :) - it is a particularly good photo that one metanoia, thanks :), the bit you cant see that makes it even better is that he had a giant gold medal on that says "number one dad" as he trundled in on his walker on his first fathers day, It makes me smile like a loony every time I see that photo LOL. - which is not good as it is my wallpaper on my office PC, so every night when I am leaving I have a huge grin on my face - I'm sure the boss has started to notice ;)
Chris, here is the hatch. I got it from Revit City, am very happy with the look as insulation - squashed honeycoomb, makes life so much easier than drawing batting lines! a Link to the window attached also, you will be able to save out all of the many loaded components as the have all be done in 6.1 some of them are nested quite deep but you will get them out eventually! - didnt want to upload again as it is quite a big family.

The file had to be renamed to insulation.txt to allow me upload it? you will have to rename it to insulation.pat - i dont need to tell you that Yman - but somebody else might not know ;)

Heh heh heh. Must echo Metanoia: that is a classic baby pic.
Also, Martin, I like those pdf'd docs. Very clean and to the point. It kills me how much time I used to waste trying to get CAD drawings to look as if they were done by hand. Then again, that was back in the days of ACAD 10-12 and the graphics were pretty sterile [i.e. 'clean' but in a 'bad way.'] Anyway, thanks for today's Revit Graphics lesson.
