Description:

To my knowledge the PN has no real ability to deal with superceding constructs, views or sheets.

Currently we just drag a construct to a superceded folder in the PN - but the problem with this is that it is still lined to a level and so when you create a new view or sheet it will appear in the construct list.

How Used:

Really there should be a 'proper' method of doing this - say a separate part of the PN where constructs / view etc could be placed when superceded - they would be stamped with the date and any other information. The user would easilty drag and drop drawings into it or retrieve them from there.

Feature Affinity: Project Navigator.

Hi Kevin,
Not a bad idea.
But couldn't you simply bind the sheet and save as an element or into a different folder someplace. Just a thought.
We do that with all of our Cad files after they have been issued so we can alway track our changes. Just a thought.

Yea - you could bind and save elsewhere - but the problem with that is you are leaving the ACA environment.

For instance, if you wanted to update a construct and supercede the original version, by binding it and saving it you would lose all the PN navigator level information etc, it would also be more difficult to restore back into the PN without messing about with DWG files.
