I am trying to set up a simple 3 story house through the project navigator in 2005 but when I assign walls/footprint to a level and then create a view of the 3 levels, level 2 is on level one. to check myself I go back into level 2 and make sure the assigned level is correct which it is and that my wall heights are correct. I dont mess with the levels on the project tab, I simply created 3 levels and move on. So what am I doing wrong. I have tried the link from the Autodesk website on the project navigator but the same thing happens with the levels on that simple project.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like a key phrase in that document link
is this one:
2. Elements are repetitive objects—chairs, cubicles, even a building core. Elements have no specific level, but you can attach them to a Construct, which does have a level.
Did you assign levels to your constructs?

Yes, when I create a level I give it a name and assign it to a level. I did notice that #2 was a little miss guiding.
