View Full Version : what triggers plot styles for wall styles, etc.?

When adding a wall style from a toolpallette in AutoCad Architecture 2008, the wall style properties are different depending on the drawing that is open at the time. If I use a drawing that was created by our office, the style uses our plotstyles (e.g. thin, thick, etc) but if the drawing is from 2008 the same tool pallette uses different plotstyles (e.g. full saturation, etc.).

The current plotstyle table does not appear to affect this.

Does anyone know what triggers this? Or, how can this be controlled?

read up on Layer Key Styles. Look at the differences between the 2 drawings.

Thanks for reply.

I have compared having layer key styles loaded and there doesn't appear to be any effect.

I have also tried loading plotstyles on the page setup manager, again with no effect.

It might be best to upload the two drawings.

These are two dwgs. Test is the one started with 2006, new construct was started from 2008 templates. I was using the out of the box toolpalletes for 2008 for both. Never saved test in 2008 format.

Thanks
